Orientation Guide

The Independence Center hosts orientation to help new members become a vital part of Independence Center.  During the orientation our staff will discuss Center guidelines, help new members meet the treatment team, and review Center expectations.  We encourage all new members of the Center to attend Orientation Week.  Orientation will take place on the Monday after your screening.

During Orientation Week, we hope you will take the time to review the member handbook, participate in our dynamic groups, enjoy the clubhouse feel of our psychosocial rehabilitation program, and take time to meet our members. 

At Orientation you will receive:

• Independence Center Handbook
• Information on Center policies
• Independence Privacy practices
• Residential and Occupational program information
• PSR programs and resources
• Calendar of upcoming events and important dates and deadlines
